The Rotary Club of Point West - Sacramento was chartered on April 16, 1985 and was recognized by Rotary International as the 22,656th Rotary club chartered in the world. Point West Rotary is a group of active members working to improve our community and have fun while doing it! We always welcome others to join in our efforts to make an impact and change lives!

We are a lively and spirited group of people from a broad range of professional and business backgrounds who are committed to community service locally and throughout the world. We meet weekly over breakfast to review our many projects and listen to a guest speaker, who is usually a prominent member of our local community.

The motto of Rotary is “Service Above Self” and in Point West Rotary we fundraise and are actively engaged with hands-on projects in Sacramento and globally in places like Zambia, Mexico and New Zealand. The specific focus of our efforts is to benefit women and children in underserved areas. We have tutored elementary and middle school students to enable them to compete academically in high school and graduate. We provide food to those in need, we clean up our local parkway, and we hold an annual leadership conference for high school students discussing leadership and personal and business ethics.

The common theme in everything we do is to have fun, and we do have fun! We are a collection of people who bring their individual and divergent views and beliefs to what we do, but we enjoy being together and sincerely appreciate the commonality we find by engaging in activities to help others. Come check us out! Join us Friday mornings at a club meeting…or at one of our service projects, fundraisers or socials. We look forward to meeting you!
