Welcome

The Rotary Club of Point West – Sacramento is one of the most active and exciting Rotary clubs that you'll find.  We have 160 members that are truly committed to "Service, Fun & Fellowship".  We continuously strive to not only contribute funding to worthy charities, but also to actively participate in community events.

Our high level of participation falls right into line with our Rotary International theme for this year "Building Communities, Bridging Continents".  We firmly believe in "Service Above Self" and we are very proud of our record of giving and helping others over our 26 year history.  Last year our club decided to support an effort in Zambia, to build a new school and this effort continues into this year.

Point West Rotary has two major fundraisers every year.  Our Festa di Vino is held in the spring and our Brewfest is held in the fall.  For both of these events, as well as our many other events, we partner with organizations such as The Assistance League, Women's Empowerment, Salvation Army, Christmas Promise, Eagle Golf and the American River Parkway Foundation, just to name a few.  Through these events we also support our sponsored schools, Encina High School and Thomas Edison Elementary. 

Working with each of these schools we have also committed to mentoring and developing students.  Many of our members are active in continuously working with students, through the HOSTS program or the Encina Business Academy.  It is a tremendous partnership for everyone involved.  This year we are looking to start an Interact Club at Encina High School.  This will be very exciting as this will give students a chance to start giving back to their community.  Building a great foundation for future Rotarians.

When it comes to fellowship and fun, Point West Rotary is at the top.  Nearly everyone that visits our club meetings comments on how lively and energetic we all are at 7:00am in the morning.  And that is just the beginning.  We always have something in the works to provide fun and fellowship.  Some of these activities are our Softball Team, our Annual Bowling Bash, our Cocktail Party, our Mystery Dinner, our Golf Tournament and any other ideas that our members can dream up.  It is the most fun you'll have with what we consider "family". 

I have been a Rotarian for 19 years now.  All with Point West Rotary.  I joined the club for the business contacts, but stayed because of how impressed I was with their comaraderie and giving.  Today I am still impressed with this organization and I am proud to be a member.    
Our membership is open to community and business members who are looking for an opportunity to give something back while enjoying the very unique fellowship and camaraderie of the Rotary Club of Point West-Sacramento.
